I have been looking at getting this model for a few months now. I just bought it and am extremely happy with the purchase! I just wanted to see if there was any possible option/way to print the top of the head separately from the bottom of the head and then glue them together afterward. It would be perfect if the top and bottom of the head could be split along the mouth seam where the colors are different. Great work on the model I look forward to purchasing others!
thanks, this is definitely on my list to do
Having just purchased this awesome set of models, I'm wondering what the best/optimal way to print this would be? I can do it all at once, but then it's switching between four colors, which seems like a lot of waste. Do I print the eyes separate? It looks like the body is two colors (yellow, then switching to green once?), and the head is two colors but to print it without support, it's going back and forth (a color change per layer), and of course the eyes can be printed separately. Thoughts?
I think the most efficient and least wasteful way is to print everything in parts as single colors. And when printing the body you can swap colors at 4mm to achieve a very similar color scheme.
I'm in the process of printing this one. I purchased and printed your frog and it went well with the hidden magnets. However, when I slice the hidden magnet version of this guy, there are no visible cups to place the magnets at 4mm like there was on the frog. Am I missing something? I've double checked that I'm using the hidden magnet stl file.
Never mind. I'm an idiot. Figured it out. Lol
Build plate btw
This model is cool but the only problem is that when I print the pupil it does not stick to my A1 mini
use brim it you need to
